Update on a few Qlders.

Jimmy Thomson.. Phone call to Jim recently and he states ” still going to specialists and battling on as best as possible. Recently celebrated his 80th birthday.

Marie is suffering from an Archillles Heel problem and is hobbling about on the one leg and apart from that reports that she is as good as can be expected.

Bob Jones. In his words, still plodding along, despite sugar induced high blood pressure threatening his eyesight. He has avoided having injections to the pupils by controlling everything by diet, and is enjoying a stress free and relatively isolated life style as a farmer just out of Clifton, Qld.

Bloo Dennis. Bloo has been battling along out at Jandowae for a while fighting Cancer. Had a bit of a fright recently when he began to grow horns out of his skull (real character starting to show, some say) but has been seeing the same Oncologist that treated Blue Hickey and last reports where that the outcrops were improving and shrinking by about 25 %.

Wendy Dennis is currently in hospital in Toowoomba on radiation fighting a rather aggressive cancer that has attacked her bones and is causing pain in the hips.

Blue Hickey Blue is still in remission from Cancer which is tremendous news but recently (May) he was shopping in the local shopping centre and had a stroke which paralysed one leg. Being a bit pig headed, he struggled on with the aid of the shopping trolley, and eventually got to his car and settled down, and eventually came good. A  week or so later he saw his Doctor and told him what had happened and is now on blood thinners and undergoing a bit more regular specialist visits.

BFK King John has recently had a short stint in hospital with a UTI but is home now and fairing pretty well. He and Glennys both sound well.

Glen Hutley Had a bit of a sore gut recently so eventually saw the ER at Greenslopes and was operated on almost immediately with an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. Home now and recovering well although Patsy says, not fast enough!

There are a few others up here that I cant contact at the moment but should contact become available soon I will continue and enlarge on this report.

We Queenslanders are feeling a bit smug and tentative at the moment as far as the Covid business is concerned and can only pass on our best wishes to all the Southerners who are still battling through lockdowns etc. Hang in there and we are all thinking of you.
